Top 5 a Month
Every month, I'll post a top 5 of things that I like. Top five games, music, movies, etc.
If a savable profile is available, I'll show mine. Otherwise, it's just a link to it.
This month is Top 5 Flash Games.
Level Up is more complex, and has a deeper storyline than at first glance, and your left to figure out most things by yourself. The Girl (which is the only name your given) finds Boy (same thing) in her garden. Boy forgot what he was doing, and it's up to you, as Girl, to find out the truth (or as close as you can to it). In Level Up, everything you do can level up - Even standing still, up to level 5, and you must collect every bit of knowledge about the world around you, including getting all of the gems (which look like chaos emeralds, but are littered everywhere). But, here's the kicker. When time runs out, you go back home and sleep, and a Nightmare - A shadowy black figure with a flaming sword that chases you and does magic stuff - attacks you. When you lose all of your health, you revert to level 1, and Girl, being in the game, loses all of her memory and sets off on the quest she already started. It's very frustrating, but you just wanna keep doing it. THAT'S HOW GOOD IT IS!!! But to complete everything 100% is a Spartan Labor, because beating the Nightmare is itself a Herculean Labor. Beating Nightmare is worth it, completing the game though, isn't.
Pros: Very cool sandbox-rpg-platformer gameplay leaves endless playability.
Cons: Becomes tedious, and the bonus for completing 100% is not worth it.
Verdict: Starts out simple, ends with a bang. Boss is tough, but not any tougher than a real nightmare.
Rating: 8.6/10

Great game, constant updates, customizable, strategic, and FUN! But why is it only the fourth? Have you played on http://mybrute.com ? The game that relies on statistics, weapons, and randomness? Almost exactly the same. Except you can buy certain skills to heal yourself/damage others, get pets to dilute attacks directed at you (and help attack, but they slow you down), and upgrade weapons with honor points or gold. It's got an fairly even balance of pros and cons, but the pros are still superficial. Though behind all of that, there's still elements for light-hearted and die-hard gamers. The extremely simple click-and-fight gameplay, and the strategic turn based rpg stats-and-abilities gameplay. It combines it quite well, and everytime you level up, you get a new ability, weapon, or larger stat increase. It's not quite as mindless as you think it would be, but you don't need to be submerged in it. It's more of a daily addiction, than a constant addiction.
Pros: Massive amount of customization, Constant updates, Gold doesn't have to be purchased
Cons: Can die against a level 7 when your 17, almost impossible to win a tournament (without buying a shitload of gold)
Verdict: It's a sloppy facebook game, and may be very frustrating to users. It's very addictive, and makes you want more, but you only have 6 combats a day.
Rating: 8.9/10
Summary: A colorful, customizable battle against foes better or worse. Rising through the ranks are tough, but well worth it.

Do you like MINDLESS VIOLENCE? Do you like SHOOTING EVIL PENGUINS? Do you like UPGRADING WEAPONS FOR MOAR CARNAGE???
...
Then this is a game for you. You start off with a pistol, and shoot the *bleep* out of penguins trying to attack your snow tower. You get money for everytime you kill a penguin to upgrade your weapon, get a new one, hire gunman who attack the closest enemy, hire mechanics who increase tower health regeneration, increase maximum health, or buy full health. It's really fun, and it's more cartoon blood than anything. One successful shot, couple blobs of blood. The first weapon is mediocre, its got good power but isn't semi or fully automatic. The last weapon to get is the *bleep*ing CHAINGUN RAAAAAAAAWR!!!! It's got god-knows-how-much ammo, extreme fire power, incredible reloading time, and it still doesn't kill the robot penguins in 10 shots. But that's ok, because the robots are the toughest, then the giants, then the jet packs, then the big fisted penguins, the balloon penguins, and the adorably evil normal penguins. Headshots do nothing, mind you, and the newer gunman have a faster rate of fire. A reallynice bloody good game. It gets frustrating when you lose all of your health though, because you know you can beat them, its just those stupid robots that turn ghostly if you shoot them. But if you have an automatic weapon, and a line of penguins are at the base of your fort, lock and load baby, and have fun picking them off.
Pros: Simple point and shoot gameplay. Good amount of carnage per bullet. More than just upgrading weapons.
Cons: Lags on every computer I've used. Frustrating if you're not quick enough.
Verdict: Need to get out rage with a gun? This is perfect for that, and god knows what else. If you can beat the game without your fort dying, it gives a sense of achievement.
Rating: 9.2/10
Summary: A simple point-and-shoot gameplay with 7 (if I remember) guns to shoot an evil penguin assault. Can you, fellow gamers, grab a chaingun and shoot the brains out of them?

A way past cool physics-based game. Simple click-and-play interface, and yet still strategic. You want to destroy the castle in the least amount of trebuchet throws to earn medals. Every couple of levels, you get new rocks to throw. Small, 3 small, medium, 3 medium, large, 3 large, bomb, and 3 bombs. It's fairly easy, and you can make your own castle and hand out over the internets, which brings up the sequel, Crush the Castle - Player's Pack. The PP is really intense, especially the last few levels. It doesn't have the greatest graphics in the world, but that's overlooked when you beat the game, and still want to play more! "MOAR," you'll say, and that's what the sequel's for. FOR MOAR!!! It's hard to describe, though, why you would want more. Is it because of the bloody royalty and soldiers? The destruction of a castle? The physics of a trebuchet? The OCD of one hit Castle-KO's? Only you can decide. Sorry for such a short description, but just thinking about it makes me want to play it!
Pros: Great for any beginner. Excellent-but-unnecessary storyline. Smooth physics. Hard, but not annoying. BYO Castle capability.
Cons: Graphics could be better.
Verdict: Overall, very nicely put together, though a rock smaller than you're leg shouldn't be able to kill people.
Rating: 9.5/10
Summary: A game you'll play over and over again. But not as much as #1.

What if the enemy never totally dies. What if the enemy flooded the landscape like water. What if hundreds of human inhabited planets have been destroyed by this enemy, known as the Creeper? You are Odin City, fighting against a mindless invasion of fluid aliens. Once you gain the upper land, you gain the upper hand, and just a sliver of hope to flee from every creeper...
This game... Is hypnotizing. I once played this for 2 days, never sleeping. I'm usually not addicted to anything, but this... I don't know why, but the colorful items, the boxy landscape, the tough enemy, and protecting the city just makes it incredible. It's starting to make me drool...
Play it, so I don't have to describe its simplistic lust.
Pros: Guaranteed addictiveness. The simple, but strong enemy makes you WANT to beat it, though sometimes there isn't one strategy to beat it. You MUST collect energy to destroy the enemy. To end the level, you must connect with the green totems to open a rift and warp away.
Cons: The last level is murder, there's only one way I've been able to beat it, and that's moving the whole city.
Verdict: *runs away to go and play it*
Rating: 9.95/10 (nothings perfect)
Summary: *runs away again*
